I'm ready for that Nexonic exposition!

Now that I think of it; I guess, I should... shove the UDAP and its characters in. Somehow.
Speaking of that side-arc: Nex, I may have a springboard to bring you into the game, if you're still up for it. I advise both you and Gig fire a TG in my general direction if you want the details of the arc in question.
Sounds good; it'll let me actually develop the H14, too.
So, seeing as how the map in Blak's factbook is getting a little bit old (not to mention not full-sized), I was thinking maybe we should do a series of full-sized world maps of countries in the Frencoverse; and, for the FT Main Canon, how the Earth looks after the Desolation.
Any thoughts?
I like this notion, as now the other Nexuses of the world can be labelled, rather than just the Caribbean Nexus.
I did this to make the Nexus a tad less Caribbean-centric, and more open to interaction across the Earth. Of course, these Nexuses do not function as one cohesive unit, but rather as multiple semi-autonomous units subordinate to the main overseer (Caribbean Nexus). Most of them are also not even open to the air, but rather underground and underwater.
As for that specific Nexus, it is mainly Japonic due to how many large corporations originated from Japan before the Great War. There are a few Chinese and even more Koreans, but the Japanese have naturally became the dominant demographic from having the most capitalist power in the region, pre-2077.
Probably. Companies with more of a foreign enticement would probably not be fully and economically conquered.
Indeed, although not in any way as expansive or intrusive to other nations as the Caribbean Nexus.

fuc
still dunno how to work the Nexus in properly w/o plotholes
I mean, I do assert that an African Nexus exists at certain times, but that's deep within the Congo.
Obviously there's me, Fren and Sidh, but who else is actually taking part?
I would, if I could just figure out how the Nexus would fit in; especially what the Nexus was doing while everyone else was shooting the shite with eachother...
(could be an Alt-Canon Nex rp in itself but)
I'd also like to reserve Tau Ceti e and f, Kepler-296f and Kepler-440b.
In the Milky Way itself, then probably Pluto? If there's still room on Jupiter itself, I'm reserving that too.

fuk
i was going to have a tiny (not stupidly large) Nexumian colony trying not to get raped by andromedan aliens, but
Also, I wouldn't recommend sending your own ships into the meat grinder (that honor goes to me, and I plan on losing a prized Asimov or two if it comes to direct confrontation with a Sidh fleet). I recommend Asimovs for their general flexibility, good power-to-size ratio, long maintenance lives, and independence from other ships. Most importantly (for this story, at least) they can carry up to 500 passengers. So...I'd recommend you just bring whoever you want aboard one of them. I can't promise they'll be looked on too kindly, but they'll have everything they need. Armories, vehicle bays, cargo space...think of it as a fun bonding adventure. Just Frenks, Mecharussians, and Nexumians all crowded into the same ship and living together for the sole purpose of saving humankind. It'll be great!
whoops
Although I believe this is uber late-PMT... it isn't full on FT, right? That'll decide for me whether to pull in the Nexus or Nexum; they have pretty different characters to use.

It would give me huge incentive to actually develop the Alt-Nexum, and contribute overall in activity.
I should wait a bit for everyone else to pitch in before you get excited, though.
Seems like a good idea to me.
I'll just need to touch up on what the Nexus was fucking around with while all of this was going on (Project Sacrosanct, maybe?), and then I'll be keen on writing an escort dispatch fleet.

I forgot about this...
Is this still useful?
Hmm; very interesting discussion!
I only mentioned the closest rouge planet (~100 ly) due to how it is the closest detected rogue planet near Sol; of course, as far as we know, there could be one lying just 1 ly ahead.
I am more keenly interested about the abilities and technology that will actually be used in "cloaking" ships; the Nexum might not put that much effort into such technologies, trading it for more offensive research.
so I was thinking, how about we generally agree to not have it except for highly experimental systems which are able to cloak relatively small ships?
I was going to see how (in)efficient it was to hide big 'ol ships on Planemo systems until they are ready for war or inter-system ambushing, but yeah, cloaking anything >50 or so meters with normal FT parameters would be rather unneeded, due to the emissions made that can be detected within a system.
Also, would large ships (i.e 10 kilometers up) be detected in planemos/deep space at up to 100 light years away, if they're only ~30 kilometers long or so, which is the average diameter of many asteroids? On top of possibly being shoved into a gas giant orbit dock, or a planetary base... in rogue planet systems.
I myself and others of the canon would -- of course -- love to see this; especially due to how it brings a new element of being a new twist of writing, but keeping the same plot!
As for the Nexus(es), self-sufficiency was already planned to some degree for all subterranean complexes prior to the outbreak of the Great War. However, having a huge boost of population due to the imminent seizing of the monolithic Carribbean shantytowns during the Carribbean Nexus's rise, sufficiency could be achieved there via huge vertical farms nestled within the shanty towers, being direct Nexus property and boasted huge water and food savings.
As for minerals and other natural resources, they could be mined either from the subterranean complexes directly, or normally from the surface.
For actual trade? Well, since almost every nation is either hostile or apathetic to the Nexus, I think that the only good trading partners would be the other Nexuses between themselves, and the (Nexonically-revitalized) Caliphate.

Thank you though, I shall seriously consider taking it...
Yeah, I was thinking Mars or something, since bright orange armor on Earth wouldn't even fit in the normal deserts...
Also, gg on seeing the similar gun designs @Fren.
